Beginning on his older brother’s nine-piece kit, Boyd has been playing drums since anyone can remember. As soon as he was old enough he joined the school’s band, becoming the first in Anomy to perform for a true audience. In high school Boyd began working as a framer and discovered another passion. After graduating he moved to Kansas to study business at college. Upon completion of his first year he evaluated his life and found more fulfillment in practicing business than studying it, as he had been spending more time on building projects than going to classes. Since Boyd has also become heavily involved in Denver’s local music scene, qualified as a live sound engineer, co-owner of Throat Culture Magazine, and recently setting the groundwork for a music distribution company with the goal of aiding Denver performers.
