Although a rabid metal fan since childhood, a performer within the genre was only a fledgling dream. That changed as a junior in high school as Dan and Boyd teamed up and needed a bassist, which prompted Brent to learn to play. After a couple of years of searching for another member, Brent also took over vocal duties. Following high school Brent went on to college, choosing an in state university for the sake of the band. During his first year it became apparent to him that passionate metal heads were few and far between on campus. Finding acceptance within the small but vibrant goth scene and drawn by a newfound fondness of vinyl clad women, Brent gravitated towards the dark, both socially and musically. During his last year Brent became very involved in the local music scene, eventually graduating with a BA in environmental science and political science yet with no interest at all in pursuing anything but music. Now with expertise and experience in many aspects of the music industry, Brent owns Erebus Music and operates Denver’s all ages venue, The North Door at night while working as a part time preschool teacher by day.
