It's been a long times since the website has been updated, and unfortunately necessity dictates that it be done now. Due to extraneous circumstances that are beyond reconcilable, Alex has chosen to leave Anomy and Brent and Boyd will no longer be playing in Midgard. It was an exciting adventure while it lasted but all parties see this as the best course of action right now. Work on an EP was underway with the first song (entitled "90 days") already recorded. While Alex's departure may slow things down once again for Anomy, we will continue on with hopes of releasing the EP early 2005. Anomy will be auditioning replacement guitarists immediately. To be considered, please email brent@anomy.org.

This past weekend the band did demo recordings of several of the new songs at Valkyrie Studios with engineering by Patrick Russell. While these songs will not be released to the public until the fall, Anomy Yahoo! group members will get a sneak preview!

Now that the reviews and interviews are coming in, Anomy has shifted focus and has now been working hard on making the band's full length release, "disquietude", easier to get. As part of that the CD is now being offered through CD Baby at cdbaby.com/anomy and we are also now able to take credit card orders for any of the Anomy merchandise at any live performance. At the same time the band has been practicing and perfecting their live performance. With the incorporation of the new stage show (a sneek peak is available in the gallery), future live shows promise to be unforgetable.

All five songs uploaded to MP3.com from the new album have been approved by their staff and are now available for download. The band has made these songs available before the CD is released on January 25, 2003 to give fans a sneak peek at what the full length album has to offer. A policy change will be going to effect at the end of January in regards to the number of songs MP3.com allows from each band, so only three of these songs will then be available. Anomy has chosen the songs Playground, Bleeding Once Again, and Mountains of Madagascar to remain following this policy change, so make sure to download them all now!

Several days ago Anomy updated the band's MP3.com site. All songs from Promulgations of a Self-Consuming Misanthrope have been removed to make room for five songs from the new CD, disquietude. Three of these songs have already been approved by the MP3.com staff, with the other two approvals imminent. The down side to the update is that all radio stations featuring the Anomy songs from the last album are no longer listed. The band will be working over the next few days to get these stations to again include the bands music in their regular rotations. Check out the new songs and other updates at http://www.mp3.com/anomy.

It's only been 4 months, time for an update? Boyd has completely recovered from his wrist injuries and we've spent the last month as a band bringing our performance back to 100%. Now that we know we'll be able to support a new release with touring, our CD release date has been set and a subsequent tour has been planned. Check the tour page for all the details. We sincerely appreciate our fans support and look forward to seeing everyone as we head out East. Those on the West coast can expect to see Anomy before summer 2003.

Anomy drummer, Boyd Fox, suffered a massive wrist injury today as a result of a work related accident. Reconstructive surgery will take place immediately with a basic recovery period estimated at more than eight weeks. All impending Anomy shows scheduled for Colorado that were to serve as preparation for the three-week August tour should be considered tentative as a game plan is being developed to deal with this ill-timed accident. The August tour itself will be postponed with a hopeful rescheduling set for November. For more information and updates please visit the Anomy Yahoo! Group.
